Celestino Soddu (Cagliari, 2 April 1945) is an architect and professor of Generative Design at Politecnico di Milano university in Italy. He is one of the pioneers of Generative Art and Design. His first generative software was designed in 1986 for creating 3D models of endless variations of typical Italian Medieval towns. == Career == In 1970 he graduated in architecture in the Sapienza University of Rome. In 1987 Celestino Soddu created the artificial DNA of Italian Medieval towns able to generate endless 3D models of cities identifiable as belonging to the idea.〔Celestino Soddu ("Italian Medieval Town" )〕 In 1989 Celestino Soddu defined the Generative Design approach to Architecture and Town Design in his book "Citta' Aleatorie".〔C.
